I work from Cromarty Pottery in the Scottish Highlands, making earthenware ceramics that are intended to be lived with - used daily, displayed thoughtfully, and kept over time.

Alongside functional ware made for the table and home, I also produce tiles and small, detailed works, including miniature pieces influenced by Delftware and traditional blue-and-white ceramics. I take part in selected exhibitions and continue to develop my work towards a production-based practice in earthenware.

I work with red earthenware clay, using both wheel-throwing and handbuilding techniques. Decoration plays an important role in my work and is explored through slip decoration, cobalt brushwork, and considered applications of glaze.

My work is shaped by my surroundings and the life I want to build around it: swimming in the sea, creating a thoughtful and beautiful home, and a curiosity about the wider world. I’m interested in making pieces that feel at ease within interiors, and that can live comfortably alongside architecture, design, and everyday objects.

I came to pottery later in life, following a career in arts administration, event planning, and community engagement. When I found clay, it quickly became central to my life. Although my path to ceramics was a roundabout one, making has always been present, from early experiments with polymer clay to the practice I am developing now.
